History

Founded in 1991 by Norman and Daniel Handfield, Gestions Informatiques Sysmic Inc. offers many computer services related to several industry sectors (textile, insurance, finance, distribution, food, accounting, etc.).

The firm is specialized in project management, customized programming, costing, training (accredited by Emploi-Québec) and outsourcing.

Its main clients are businesses such as RCR International, Hôpital Sacré-Cœur, Hôpital du Haut-Richelieu, St-Lawrence Textile, Industries Harnois, BCI, and Hafner.

In the health sector, since fall of 2001, Sysmic has transferred all of its activities to its new MediaMed Technologies Inc. division (awarded the "jeune entreprise de l’année 2003" - best new business of 2003 - prize).

Sysmic also sells and services computer software and hardware through its boutique.
